Conquest Reforged 1.20.1 Beta
The latest Conquest Reforged update is out and ready for 1.20.1 Fabric! If you thought that the last big update brought great performance, prepare yourself for even crazier improvements. To add to that, 1.20 brings powerful new tools along with more blocks for your building needs.
We're marking this initial release as a "Beta" in case unforeseen issues arise, but nevertheless the game plays smoothly. If nothing large comes up we'll mark this as a full release later on. In any case, as with any version upgrade, remember to back-up your worlds!
Performance Upgrades
Conquest Reforged over the years has become more and more demanding in terms of RAM usage, coming up to a daunting 6-8gb of RAM for Conquest Reforged alone. Thankfully, Minecraft has optimized its systems significantly, bringing this way down to 2gb for smooth FPS and gameplay. While loading times were also exhausting, they’re reduced to about 30 seconds. A big improvement from the 3-15 minute loading times that plagued us all.
We also made some smaller quality of life improvements. With Optifine now an unpleasant thing confined to the past, the mod and resource-pack are now unified, so there’s no need to go into the resource-pack screen and activate anything. Additionally, we’ve optimized our textures and brought the total download size of Conquest Reforged down to 136mb.
TLDR:
- 2gb RAM minimum, 4gb recommended
- Approximately 30 seconds to load the game now.
- One download – no separate resource-pack and mod.
- Reduced file size. Total down from 209mb -> 136mb.
Axiom
Exclusive to Fabric and 1.20, there’s a new creative building tool on the block, and this one overshadows Worldedit. Axiom introduces an incredibly user-friendly way of editing and creating your builds in real time with its custom UI (no more typing in long commands!).
Jayemceekay (one of the developers of Conquest Reforged) is also working on add-ons for Axiom to make building even easier. Do check out his twitter for a sneak peak!

1.16 Update wowow
Conquest Reforged 1.16.5 finally in beta!
Conquest Reforged 1.16.5 is now in beta. This release primarily brings what was implemented in 1.15.2 forward a version with a few more additions, so your builds are unlikely to be impacted or outdated in the way that the 1.15 release rendered everything from 1.12. Not many issues have come up during the alpha, so we expect the beta to play fairly smoothly. In any case, with so many more people actively playing the mod in a public release we expect some things to come up, so we encourage everyone to post reports bugs at https://github.com/Conquest-Reforged/ConquestReforged. This will allow us to track and fix them accordingly.
This update doesn't require a converter, as we've seen 1.15.2 worlds open up in 1.16.5 seamlessly. However, we strongly recommended you make a backup of your world in 1.15.2 before opening it in 1.16.5. With the complexity of Minecraft and various combinations of mods you can have, you never know if something can go wrong.
1.17 development has started and is progressing well. The mod can now successful compile and run in 1.17, and it looks to be mostly playable, so it should be going into alpha on that version sometime soon.
