The American Battlefield Trust has made its foray into Minecraft, presenting a stunning reconstruction of the bloody and arduous siege of Vicksburg, a battle pivotal to the Union victory in the American Civil War. The project "The Battle of Vicksburg" is the result of a year of development and contributions from more than 30 builders, modelers, and developers. Not only is the town beautifully crafted on handcrafted terrain, it is also populated with fully voice-acted NPCs, including historical figures like Abraham Lincoln and Mark Twain.

If you’re interested in going back in time block-style to a beautiful and historical town in the history of the US, you can join the battle from Nov. 11, 2022, to Nov. 16 at 6 PM EST. All proceeds go to the American Battlefield Trust and their mission to preserve historic sites across the United States.
